The Public Enemy icons

I was making some stylistic experiments for a new fanlisting layout. Don't ask me how this led to icons; it just did. So here are five icons starring James Cagney as the delightfully deranged Tom Powers. Befitting the source film, they're rather grim and grungy and monochromatic.

The font I used on the first icon is called "Tom Violence"--an in-joke that was entirely too perfect to resist. (I have a perverse love of indulging in secret font humor like that.) It was the most complex icon to make, and it happens to be my favorite of the set.

The second icon makes use of the Public Enemy font I recently discovered. The "dark thoughts and evil plans" line is actually borrowed from "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" (which I maintain had consistently the best dialogue ever heard in a television series).
