Gwendal glared at the stack of reports Yuuri had deposited on the table. "I am not doing those for you."
The youth busied himself with laying out his inkwell and pen before replying, "These aren't what I need your help with, I just thought I could finish them while we talked." He pulled the first page on the stack toward himself and quickly read over it before signing his name with a flourish.
"What does Wolfram like?"
Gwendal stared at the king, feeling unprepared for this line of questioning. "What do you mean, 'what does he like'?"
"Well, he does so much for me and I want to do something nice for him, but when I tried to think of something we could do I realized I wasn't sure if the things I came up with were things Wolfram would enjoy." Yuuri blushed slightly, "I was hoping you could give me some advice since you know him much better than I do."
"And what sort of things have you come up with?"
"At first I thought about going to see a play, but I don't really know much about plays here and it didn't seem personal enough. Then I thought about going riding, just the two of us, but we do that pretty often so it needs to be more than that. So I got the idea of taking a picnic and finding a nice spot to enjoy an afternoon together, but saying it makes it sound silly." He sighed, "I'm just not sure if Wolfram would like that sort of thing."
Gwendal smiled, "I don't think it sounds silly. And Wolfram will enjoy having you to himself for an afternoon."
