I haven't written in a while, and I've finally got a chance to sit for a minute at work at my desk (I'm transcribing all week, so I've been at another station that's internet-less).

This last weekend was fun! Friday, Terry came into town, we loaded in his friend's DJ gig at DTC Marriot, went over to my parents' house for dinner, met Lisa (the girl whose house Terry was staying at all weekend), then went back to the hotel for the last shift and load out. I got eyebrows raised at me from the other guys loading because I actually could lift things and I knew how to set up the lights and audio. Terry kept telling them I was from Rhino, so I knew what I was doing, but they seemed amazed anyway.
Sat, I picked up my sister (Terry slept in since Load-out the night before went on until 3AM). It's sooo great to see her again!!!!!!!! I showed her my house and then we went and picked Terry up so she could meet him. By then, Nicole was so tired, we picked up lunch and then took her over to the parents' house so she could sleep. Terry and I went back to Lisa's to pick up his car and head over to his DJ gig, which was in a hotel near Red Rocks. The party went really well and everyone liked the music. The crowd seemed to only want Oldies and Country though...odd. I just about killed Terry when he suddenly played my version of "Santa Baby" during the party. I hid under the table. We loaded out the gig (that took 15 minutes as opposed to the 2.5 hour load out from the night before... It was a very complicated lights and DJ show...well, on top of that, we were burning time to make it look like we worked harder).

Sunday, I took Terry to the Thistle and Shamrock because he hadn't been there in a while (actually, he had other motives, but...) He ended up buying me a Caladdaugh necklace!!! Partially as a thank you for helping him and a Christmas Present. I got him this scarf that he was eyeballing while we were there. As we got back to Lisa's house, he surprised me again by setting it up with Lisa where when we got home, Lisa had started making a crab leg dinner for us three! Talk about a memory! I don't think I've told Terry that crablegs are my favorite food since he was dating Hillary...and that was years ago! Sheesh. So after a really good dinner, Terry needed pictures of him in his Scottish outfit, so I took a bunch. Then he went home. In all, it was a very nice and surprising weekend. I whole shit-load of working and running around, but... hey, it was worth it for the Claddaugh!

...Then of course Monday came around and my cold was back...grrrr.

Last night, Roxxy and I went Kareoking. There wasn't very many people there until about 10:30, so I ended up singing a lot more than my throat had wanted to. I did sing "Santa Baby" and it went over well. Ryan (DJ) made me sing Otto Titsling. Sheesh. Roxxy sang "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer". I was really surprised because I thought she was going to bomb it. Instead, she really played it up "Peg Bundy" style and it was a hit!

So tonight, I'm going to show Candace another Busted episode and visit and then Nicole and I are going to go shopping because I haven't gotten anyone's gift yet. Take that back...I got dad's a month ago. ::Sigh:: I'm not immune to Christmas shoppers anymore because I haven't worked in the mall in years, so I'm dreading this. Last year was easy. I was broke so I made everyone CDs, didn't have to go anywhere. Ah well.
