Wow. I had a great night at Kareoke!!! There wasn't a lot of people there, but the ones that were were really receptive and awesome! I nailed all my songs, Ryan (the DJ) sang songs that I love hearing in his voice, and the bouncer hit on me! It was fun!
I sang "Sweet Child of Mine" first, nailed it. Surprised the shit out of me because I basically learned that song on the way over to The Draft. Then I sang "Dance 10 Looks 3" (yes, the "Tits and Ass" song...thank you), which went over really well. (I've said it before...that's the secret for keeping these people listening, just keep mentioning the words Tits and Ass all night). Finally, I sang "Paradise by the Dashboard Light" with Ryan. It's been a while since I've done that song with him, and usually he's too uptight to fully act out that song (people who know it know what I mean), but we ended up doing it tonight and it was a lot of fun. The crowd was hooting and hollering everywhere (of course, I suppose that's part and parcel of pretending to make out onstage). I had a blast!!! Really good night!
Now, somehow, I have to calm down off this performer's high and go to bed....ick.
