Whew!

The gig went very well! We had the bar at capacity for all but the first and last 1/2 hour we were playing! That's a lot of people! There were people that were standing in the doorways because there was nowhere to sit. Wierd Rock Star-type treatment with a few of our members too... Jessie got asked to smoke a bowl with some people he didn't know after the show, and then they asked him if he'd be interested in a three-some. Brenda had the usual guys all over her. Jim was a hit with the 4 birthday girls that were there (He had lipstick marks all over his forehead). Terry had a few drunk ladies from CA trying to get him to lift up his kilt. (The same ladies came up to me twice and asked if I knew a few people with the last name of "Boudreau". They then proceeded to tell me the history of how "Boudreau" is an Italian name... erph?) Ryan had an enterage of giggly 21-year olds, asking for autographs. Chris had someone buying him martinis all night.

...And I had a girl give me her number on a napkin. Hey, guy, girl, whatever...I was flattered. Actually, besides that, the birthday girls kept shouting out my name and requested I do "Tipping it Up to Nancy".

And no fat lip tonight! Yay! However, I was wearing a corset with a zipper up the back...a very...weak...zipper. (Why do they put zippers on corsets anyway???) The thing stayed up just fine all through the show, and then when I have my piano solo on "Never Been to Spain", the damn thing bursts open on me! So here I am, trying to get through this solo, my corset is falling off, and I'm trying to get Brenda's attention to help me zip the damn thing up! Needless to say, both of our drummers got a show. Oh, and all this happened right in front of a group of guys that work at Echostar, who I'm apparently working with once I start!

Fun, fun night! And it's snowing pretty good now.
