First, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, project1201!!!
And keltgrrl, I hope your eyes feel better soon.

The gig for the Frontier Days Contract Acts Committee went well. Really, really well! We're now contracted to be the headliner for the 4th of July at Frontier Stadium...and their "Survivor's Party" after Frontier Days...and some security picnic before Frontier Days...plus, we're going to perform more days during Frontier Days...and we're scheduled to play in some new outdoor venue they're building in downtown Cheyenne during the summer every other weekend. Whew! Now you know why I was calling yesterday's gig a "Kiss-ass Concert". This summer is going to be busy, busy, busy!
I'm particularly thrilled about the 4th of July gig. Playing for 12,000 people again...hmmmm, ya wanna twist my arm a little bit more, please?

The only bad thing that happened yesterday was this show we were doing was for the committee's annual "Ball Fry". Um, exactly as it sounds, folks. I was leary about trying fried Rocky Mountain Oysters before, and my opinion hasn't changed since. I tried a bite of one (I was brought up with the idea that you live an extra day when you try something new, hell why not?). Wasn't impressed with the taste, couldn't get it out of my head that I was eating a testicle, and it went downhill from there. I ended up puking for the next hour, all while trying to finish up our sound check. I ended up skipping out on dinner with the band and went to Terry's Parents' house to sleep for a few hours before the show. That helped, and thankfully, I was feeling much, much better by the time 8PM came around. I suppose you could say I just couldn't handle my balls. Oh well.

birthdays, band
