Random thoughts to prove that I'm alive

Feb 10, 2004 08:58

Going to lunch today with burgandy_george. Friday's her birthday, so we're going to the Olive Garden to kinda celebrate.

A certain "auntie" is in town this week and it's making me into a bitch. This is good for motivating my PA's... bad for everyone else.

No word on jobs yet. I turned in my resume at Channel 5 in Cheyenne last weekend, still need to call this Boulder company...and UPN. I possibly have at least a temp job, as a desk clerk for a girl's husband who's in my dance class. $11/hr for answering phones and filing. I can live with that...but I'm trying to exhaust all my choices for staying in my career field first. That and the job's all the way out on 120th and Wadsworth, so it'd be a drive.

I'm wondering if I can really afford these uillean pipes. On one hand, I'll have plenty of practice time with them after this Friday. On the other...they're not a cheap instrument and with the unsurity of where I'm going to LIVE in a month, much less work, I don't know if it's a good investment at this time. I know if I get rid of them now, I'll be kicking myself. Blah.

Rent is paid up until the first of April. This is good. God bless the IRS.

I seriously want to move to a deserted island somewhere and leave no trace of myself. Especially to the bill companies.

I've been told by the owner to tell everyone in the show that's still here to "pack our cubes as if we weren't coming back". Boy, that's a pretty significant nail in the coffin. Thanks. This coming from the same guy who e mailed us all a few months ago about how he "didn't want to lose a single one of us" when the time came that our contracts were finished. Blah.
