You're supposed to use pumpkins.

Hm? [She looks up.]

Where I'm from, people use turnips.

Why?

I mean, aren't they hard to carve crap into?

Huh. I guess so.

It's just not, like, very "Halloween-y" though. It isn't the right color.

I don't mean there's anything wrong with the turnips, I mean turnips are the wrong colors for Halloween. You're supposed to have dark orange or black or other dark colors, not like...white and purple.

[Looks at the turnip.

Looks at the pumpkin next to her.

Looks at Pokey.]

I have a pumpkin that's orange. Does that count?

Well, yeah. I mean, pumpkins are what you're suppose to use for Halloween. I've never seen anyone use...turnips, or anything.

They use them in Ireland! But people have told me they use pumpkins here. So I'm going to use both.

Oh. So Ireland's the place your from and everything then, right? I never heard of it before I got here.

...Only used pumpkins in Eagleland.

Really? Well, I never heard of America before I got here.

Me either. But apparently America's, like, the parallel to where I'm from back home.
