Why so serious? Who knows?
I saw the The Dark Knight this evening. Don't worry, I won't post spoilers.
The theater did have some trouble though. About 15 minutes in, the film started skipping a bit, going out of focus, and actually disintegrated at one point while the sound cut out. It took the staff about 10 minutes to get back up and running, but they couldn't go back over the part we lost. Thankfully, it was a well lit scene and we could figure out the gist of what was happening even without sound or good picture. And the theater was nice enough to give everyone in attendance a free pass in compensation. The rest of the movie ran fine though.
It was a good movie, and probably one of Ledger's best performances. The characters were done very well, doing justice to their comic counter-parts. It was also quite thought provoking, raising a few issues that are worth thinking on; morals, endurance, fate, etc. Definitely see this movie.
Will probably use my pass to see Hellboy.
