  1. animistic:
I don't believe in god, but I still consider myself spiritual. I don't see a point in having a deity. Life itsself has turned out to be in its own way of doing things, etc.
  2. cooking without a book:
I've read a lot of cookbooks in the past eight years or so and have collected a lot of recipes. Then I've pared those recipes down, just to lighten the load. I feel I have a more comfortable grasp of the basics, so I usually just futz around with a recipe if I do actually read a cookbook.
  3. dark chocolate:
My first piece of dark chocolate was one of those Hershey's "fun-sized" bars. Needless to say, I was hooked. Milk choclate? *pft* Kinderspiele! If the chocolate doesn't nibble back, it's no good.
  4. forest gardening:
I like having food in my backyard and the IDEA of gardening, but can't really seem to get myself into the practise of it. The sun, the humitdity, the bugginess, the weeds- half the summer I just want to say "screw it" and go to the co-op. But I'm more keen of forest garening. You match up a garden to look and act like a forest ecosystem. You have your trees, some kind of ground cover and bushes, and some low-lying plants; all perenials and within your bioregion. If I left a forest garden by itself for a whole year, it would eventually take care of itsself.
  5. go:
I'm hooked. Really bad. It's that game with the white and black tile-pebbles and you try to get as much as your spaces filled up on the board, using straight lines and diagonals. On my computer, it's called "Reversi". Why can't they just call it what it is?? Oh, well. It's half stragety and half intuition. I find the more I think about a move, the worse I tend to do. Of course if I loose a game, I just want to play another until I do better.
  6. infj:
I did a Myers-Briggs test my senior year of high school in a stress management class. Yet every time I've taken a MB after, most of the time I end up with INFJ- INFP on a blue moon. It just thinks I'm introverted, intuitive, tend to pay closer attension to feelings, and be more on the up-and-up of situations.
  7. keanu reeves:
What to say... what to say... ^_^; I find him endlessly fascinating and his work never stilted or unorigional. It also doesn't hurt that I'm a big sucker for big brown eyes.
  8. reading:
It's what I do. I keep lists for the libraries and the inter-library loan systems that I use. Books are my friends. I love the fact I can take them just about anywhere and I can find any in any interest or story that I want.
  9. rewilding:
I think it's more of a state of mind. Of not letting onesself get caught up in this culture of ours that tends to screw things up more than take care of things. It's people working together, it's bottom-up, autonomous action, it's not limiting yourself to what other people think you are, or should be, but listening to yourself and doing the right action that get things done.
  10. thinking too much:
I admit I do this as much as reading. I can't help it. I'd rather think too much and have to scale back for awhile than not think that much at all.
