The Chef Don't Like It...

Apr 29, 2006 18:32

Welcome to the new food/drink community - inspired by all the fantastic food I hear about on my friends list. A backlash against other snobby communities where I don't know anyone and they seem to have terrible taste in foods.

RULES:

1. If you are a new member, you MUST post a personal favourite recipe or menu within your FIRST WEEK of joining. If not, you will be banned from the community. CLICK HERE TO JOIN

2. There will be a monthly theme - when you reply to a theme, please put 'THEME' in the subject heading and tags.

3. Please try to use tags where possible - suggested categories include:
  • Meat (and their sub-categories - lamb, beef, veal, chicken)
  • Fish
  • Menus
  • Desserts
  • Chocolate
  • BBQ
  • Baking
  • Breakfast
  • Lunch
  • Dinner
  • Brunch
  • Dinner parties
  • Vegetarian
  • Type of cuisine - ie. Italian, Japanese, Chinese, French
  • Alcohol
  • Fruit
  • Vegetables
  • Vegan
  • Vegetarian
  • Etc.
This also means people can find your recipes easier and enjoy them. These are only suggested categories - please feel free to SUGGEST whatever tags you want by commenting here - only maintainers can add new tags.

4. It doesn't just have to be recipes - awesome restaurants, food memories, photos, favourite recipe sites on the internet.

5. This community is what you make it. Please comment and let people know what you liked/did not like/variations upon recipes. If you have a friend who's an awesome cook, let them know and get them to join.

6. We may very well have international readers - here's a Celsius/Fahrenheit converter - it's also linked on the front page.

7. GOOD Example: biking, snow skiing, computers, dvds, mp3s, cheese, women

8. Let me know of any suggestions!!!

9. More mods yet to be appointed...Let me know if you're interested. I've got my eye on a few of you already.

GET POSTING! I've sent invites out to some of you already - CLICK HERE to see if you're invited!!

...

Will also try to work on the layout and some icons for the community too.
