I'm looking for a book, I hope my fellow casbahrians can give me some advice pls :)
Ok.. the book is for a boy. This boy's mother did not teach her son to cook (boo, bad mother!) and the boy went to an all-boys school where home economics was not taught (naughty school!)
Therefore this boy does not know his way around a kitchen very well. Things that I've known all my life and are almost second nature are foreign concepts to him. Basic cooking methods he does not know!
So the book needn't contain recipe as such, but more a kitchen how-to manual: cooking terms and methods explained, preparation tips, selecting ingredients, weighing & measuring, cookware/utensil guides..
Any recommendations?
