Every morning as I drive to the farm where I work I pass a family of turkey's. There is an adult and several juveniles. Today, as I rounded the corner, I was thinking about the turkey family. And I ran over the turkey mama. At 55 miles an hour (this is a rural highway). The turkey basically exploded. I turned around to see if there was anything left, (I'm not adverse to cooking up some turkey stew), and there wasn't. Just intestines and feathers and turkey chunks. And the younger turkeys just clucked accusingly at me. They are old enough that I don't think they will have any problems, but I'm still upset.
What a horrible way to start my day.
