I started my summer job on Monday here in SC. Apparently theres something called African Sleeping sickness. It's a pretty nasty disease. That is caused by a really nasty microscopic single celled parasite called a trypanosome. Inside the trypanosome are two enzymes (amoung other things). We don't know what one of them does. So...I get to spend the next ten weeks trying to figure it out. This is straight up biochem, and I am woefully unqualified. But so far so good.
