This weekend was good, tiresome, startling, and lovely. I went to NCOR, but somehow didn't end up registering or going to a workshop. Saturday we intended to but ended up at the Natural History Museum, and were a few minutes late to the aforementioned workshop. Makes me sad, I would have liked participate in workshops, but the reality was that catching up with Mackie Hannah Dustin and Cooper was a greater priority. Dinosaurs, Irish Elk, Justin, and Mackie. It was good. On Saturday night we all spent a chilly night at a church, woke up bright and early and took off. I left my sleeping bag somewhere in the Metro station and it is gone now. Which is sad because I have had it for years. Paiste and I got them as his/her sleeping bags. They zipped together. Went back to NCOR where Justin and I met up with this kid Burdoch who was needing a ride north. And then we left.
So after 14 hours in the car and a stop at grandma's later I got home. And found out that I was accepted as a research intern at Clemson studying protozoa and apicomplexons (single celled parasites). So I won't have to be a telemarketer this summer. Which is truly exciting.
So a recap: my knee is sore from being in a cramped car and I'm a little tired. I saw some of my best friends in the world from Cakalak and two folks I met traveling I hadn't thought I'd run into again. Matt, I didn't see you, though I did look. I haven't seen you face to face in...Many years..so maybe I did see you and didn't know it. It was warmer in DC than I have been in Maine since November.
I don't think I have much else to say.
