Hello again. My apologies for the lapse in posting. The last month of the Fall '07 semester has been a flurry of activity, both social and academic, including spending a weekend with my friends Adam and Casey (Who I discovered, to my surprise, still read my boring-ass ramblings- Hi!), writing a biology paper on which I received a perfect score (Seriously!), and attending Chris's twenty-first birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese's (Best birthday party of my life!). It all culminates, now, the week before finals, in... a really friggin' boring Saturday spent in front of my smudgy computer screen, not doing much of anything.
I don't have too many worries about finals. Biology and Greek are the ones I need to study for, and I intend to do so the day before each; it keeps the information fresher in my mind and promises better results. You may wonder, then, why I'm here instead of back in Erie. Well, to begin with, we played some D&D last night, which was a lot of fun. My character, Hezekiah, is rapidly developing into what seems to me like some sort of Messiah. In Xaq's campaign, the world is, in essence, chaos. Those who bestowed Hezekiah with the divine powers he has now want him to help restore the Balance... which would bring order to existence and restore everything to its original state: Nothingness. Hezekiah isn't going to let this happen if he can help it. It's going to be cool; I don't think I've ever fucked with the program in a D&D campaign as much as I plan to in this one.
Additionally, Xaq and I were supposed to go wash windows to raise money for this summer's Thiel Choir European Tour, that I may have a chance to go on again thanks to another choir member getting suspended and some money being available to give me a start. Unfortunately, every time Xaq tried to call the woman whose windows we were going to wash, she didn't pick up the phone. This, in combination with the fact that I have commitments tomorrow (which will be fun, but also make it worthless to drive home just for tonight), has me stuck here doing pretty much nothing for the remainder of the afternoon.
Thought you guys might like to know, though, that my last final is on the morning of the next Saturday at ten thirty. I'll be coming home relatively soon after this, as Bobbie has a different ride to the airport on that day. I figured I should ask- does anyone need a ride home from me for the break? Let me know when, and I'll provide it if it's within my power to do so. I have no finals on Thursday, so if anyone gets done with theirs early, I can give you a ride then, if you can get me some gas money.
I'm looking forward to seeing a couple of you in particular when I get back, simply because I haven't seen you for a long time.
Beth, I've seen you a grand total of, I think, three times since the summer ended. I realize you've been busy with school and all that, but I hope I see you more often next semester. If you ever would like to go home, and need a ride, just let me know, and I guarantee that I'll always try my hardest to make it work for you. Same goes for everyone else. At any rate, I hope to see you soon after we return to E-Town for Christmas.
Richie, you're even worse; it's been fucking forever since we hung out at any length. I know that the holiday shopping season's going to be pretty busy for you, so I'll try to work around your work schedule during the break, but I definitely want to do something.
Chad, I was wondering if you would be interested in going to see the I Am Legend movie with me. I was kind of hoping to see it opening night, but I can't guarantee having the money for that. It's going to depend on how much I get from selling back my biology book. It'll probably be plenty, but I'm not sure. I'll definitely have enough once I get back and I've sold back all the books I'm not keeping, though. Just let me know if you're interested.
Oh, and I know he doesn't have a Live Journal, but has anyone seen Austin lately? Does he exist, still?
But yeah, I hope to see all of you soon, whether it's been a while or not. Until then, though, good luck with finals to those of you who are taking them, and I wish you all well.
