Amanda Palmer
November 19, 2008
Toad's Place, New Haven, CT
I'd been a little unenthused for Amanda's solo record and this show but both turned out to be pretty dang good, IMHO.
Fearing that the show would run long and not wanting to mess around with changing discs, I recorded this in Hi-SP mode. Turned out to be a good thing since she was on for over two hours (though almost 15 minutes were spent on the "Ask Amanda" portion of the evening which was interesting enough that it should be listened to at least once). Sound quality is still pretty good as I was standing right in front of the sound board and the audience roar isn't too bad, even though I was behind them. Take a listen to the sample to see for yourself.
The final song of the set was a pantomime to Rihanna's "Umbrella" which has been excluded from the torrent for obvious reasons.
Enjoy!
