Voters everywhere turn out to turn out Bush

The story is, and continues to be, record voter turnout absolutely everywhere votes are held. And even where they're not. Reports were flooding in yesterday of an avalanche of calls to elections officials in states that weren't voting yesterday, from irate would-be voters demanding to know why the polls in their states weren't open.
The story behind the story?
Everyone hates Bush, and they literally cannot wait for his presidency to be over. Any symbolic step they can take toward pushing him out of the White House and out of their minds can't come soon enough for them.
Unfortunately, half the country will end up being stuck with him anyway. At least for the time being.
Eight years not enough? Make it a hundred.
UPDATE: Pat Buchanan tells the Today Show audience that McCain, "will make Cheney look like Gandhi." Think Progress has the video.
Oh, and how do Americans regard Cheney? As recently as July, 54% said they wanted him impeached.
Make it a hundred.
