Remix and Puppies

I love Remix - I've enjoyed it ever year I've participated, and this one was no exception. It was *exceptional*, however, because I got a lovely Remix, was happy with my Remix, AND had two fic brilliantly remixed during Remix Madness!

I wrote:

Tempo Giusto (The Strictly Come Dancing Remix) (Who 2005), based on froxyn's Three Dances. I don't actually think I've written Nine and Ten in the same fic before, and it was fun to write some unabashed Ten/Rose.

I had remixed:

Departures (The Slow Recovery Remix) (Who 2005), written by such_heights, based on Departures. Just a really lovely take on Martha, and Martha's entirely Platonic relationship with Jack.

A Beautiful Thing (The Birth, Death, and Rebirth Remix) (SGA), written by tielan (which in and of itself made me ABSURDLY HAPPY), based on A Beautiful Thing. I *love* this remix, the way it turns and flips on the theme of smiles and what they say, and the journey it takes - the original is a point of stillness, and the remix has fantastic momentum.

fade away (the it's just a kiss away remix) (SGA), written by harriet_spy, based on Seawall. Oh, John Sheppard, ILU. John watches Teyla after the events of Submersion. This fic captures *so much* about what I love about John Sheppard, and his connection to Teyla - it's just fantastic.

You should all GO READ THESE THINGS and tell the remixers how amazing they are.

In other news, before Mother's Day kicked into full swing at noon, it was another Puppy Sunday - big run. I had *nine* dogs in my car - that's like a baseball-team-worth. Have some pics!

Cupcake, Muffin, and Shortcake: Maltese mixes, 1 yr. *Such* sweet girls. They spent the whole ride together in a puppy pile, and snuggled right in against me as we were moving them from car to car.

Skidrow, Shepherd mix, 1 yr. Okay, I confess, I couldn't call him Skidrow - I kept calling him Skidmore the whole ride. He cuddled with me all the way up. While we were waiting for his next ride, I put him in the back so he could get some shade, and he settled right down into the blankets and did. not. want. to. leave. I hope he ends up with someone who gives him cuddles every day.

PUPPIES! Three Boxer babies and two Australian Shepherd pups. So tiny. So cute. So... very hard to get a non-blurry picture of.
