So on sunday evening I managed to break the key off in the ignition of my car. This has happened before, and because of it I know how to make my car driveable with no key in under 10 minutes with only a phillips and a regular screwdriver. So monday morning I head over to the key shop, and they're able to get the key part out, and give me a new key. On my way home I pick up a couple of people who's car broke down and give them a lift back to thier place. During said lift my car suddenly dies. I manage to coast it into a 7-11 parking lot, from which it is eventually towed over to the springfield service center. (My usual mechanic's daughter is getting married on Sunday, so he's a wee bit busy.)
So after dropping my car off at the service center, I borrow my dad's
69 camero and drive that home. No matter how bad your day is going that car will put a smile on your face. When I get home I forget to turn off the lights in the car, so I manage to drain the battery enough that it won't start. So I then have to borrow my roommate's old Jeep and drive that back to my parents house to pick up thier battery charger. I put that on the car, and eventually go to bed.
I get woken up at about 6 am by perhaps one of the loudest thunderstorms I've ever heard, and run outside barefoot in the pooring down rain to unplug and take inside the battery charger from the car, cover up the lawnmower, and close the bbq. Then I get back up at 8 am to drive the now charged camero over to my folks where my mother and I drive over to the service center to pick up my car. Its running fine now and I'm glad to be home. I need a nap.
