It's distressing to me when I run into someone who not only thinks they can change my mind about a subject without first addressing my reasons for having that opinion, but who think that if they just keep up their side of the argument long enough I will just cave and hold their opinion about the matter in question.
It's not exactly like laughing at someone else's opinion as invalid, but...
