State of the Asylum (also: GIP it's truuue squeee)

Hello, erm, eeep, 's me. Been off the radar for too long again. I really must watch out I don't resign to using the internet for non-communicative purposes only. Like watching youtube, reading articles and discussions by people more clever (or more idiotic) than me, and avoiding even opening my emails at times... sigh sigh lament lament...

But scratch that, it's a, um, temporary state of mind, it will get better. We have to believe. Am actually feeling quite good right now, if I ignore the financial and flatmate (one, short of) situation for a moment.
'cos I'm leaving for Lake Constance tomorrow, yay hooray! First I'll drop in at Aunt and Uncle's and then I'll travel on to Bregenz to the Bond 22 extra casting and will probably totally fail to meet their requirements (I don't even own any evening garb, but lookie sexay tango concert clothes will do pretty please? Also, I love working at night, and I won't complain if I have to sit out in the cold for eight hours without either Bond or Tosca showing up no really....), and then, if they don't drag me off to the neurologist's first, to les parents for the rest of the weekend. They chucked out the Christmas tree on Monday, though. Sniff.

I hope this finds you all well, especially my two-to-five most faithful readers. I'm sure you've made a lot of interesting posts. Which I'll read. Sometime. Or if you link me.

Also, still ever-so-slightly tipsy from all the champagne we consumed at rehearsal tonight celebrating the chief's belated b-day.

Oh, and to wrap up that last post on the DVDs: I watched them both in the end and slept half of the following day. Cruising was quite interesting but far from either scandalously homophobic or an absolute masterpiece. Some nice leather outfits for Alfredo James and some cheeky ways of tricking the audience about the murderer's identity. Funny to see how he tried to play rookie cop and mostly succeeded. But there was no need to claim he was late twenties when he was in fact fourty. Don Carlos was quite long and has been sticking quite long too now. It's really into the disk drive at least every two days, to watch Monsieur Hampson groping all over Monsieur Alagna die so beautifully.
Also desperately awaiting arrival of Il Trovatore with Senores Cura y Hvorostovsky. Signor Verdi has been earning quite a lot of points with me recently.

Babble babble. Good night everyone. Please link me to stuff I should know about, etc. Already said that, have I? Little egocentric mucho?
