Never underestimate the effects of a half-page article in the local newspaper
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen!
May I report that tonight's concert was sort of a smash hit, actually? We had to open up the church room to accommodate the more than 200 people (when we had expected about 70) and we had to steal some of the church's drinks supplies because ours ran out.
I'm actually sort of proud, because it's my church I played this concert in, and my band I played it with, and well, we were rather good, and the audience was bloody enthusiastic. So, yes, success. I'm starting to think we might manage China...
Pity all the others had to drive, so we didn't get as drunk on the chinese bamboo schnaps as I'd have liked, but that's a smallish prize to pay. What with the national holiday, it would of course have been nice to sleep off an honest hangover tomorrow.
The only thing I could need now would be... snuggling. So, anyone up for virtual nightcaps? :-D
