Things are going so well for me lately!
Work is extremely busy and Courtney... oh my god, Courtney... I never EVER imagined I could feel this way about someone.
Its still rather frightening and i feel quite vulnerable, but our relationship just keeps getting better and better as I learn more about her...
Right now she is in Hong Kong/Shanghai for 2 weeks visiting her ex pat Cousin, and its been the first time I've really had a chance to miss her.
Having her so far away from me for as little as two weeks has completely brought down my walls.... and we both want to share a life together.
On the day she left, before I dropped her off at the airport she gave me 14 envelopes, with a letter for each day that she is away.
She put so much effort and detail into each and every one (so far that is - I'm only allowed to read one per day lol) with fake hand made stamps, postage marks and imperfections to make them look like they're really old.
She bound them with string and they smell like her perfume.
The letters range from one line of poetry to a 3 page story... she signed one with a kiss wearing red lipstick... and all of it significant to me, to us, to our relationship.
I am in awe of this girl. Complete awe.
When she left me at the international flight gates, I had a large twang of anxiety... because the last time I said goodbye to a girl there, it was the last time I would see her as my girlfriend which hurt me for many years and triggered a vast depressing period of my life.
I was a mess of emotions that night, solely because of that thought, but when I opened the first letter Courtney wrote me, I realised that she would never do something as horrible as that to me.
She's a romantic at heart, much like myself. And we're looking for the same thing.
Last week we booked tickets to Thailand in January for my birthday, so I can finally get Sak Yant tattoos. I'm not only extremely excited about the tattoos, but also about spending time with her outside of our working lives, free to explore and immerse ourselves in each other.
Everything between us is moving so quickly, but it feels so right.
There is a possibility next year (And listen up here my American friends!) that we might be travelling to the U.S, to North Carolina for Courtney's sisters wedding in October.
And of course, we would be exploring a few other cities as well.
So yeh... very VERY exciting!
