Random Chatter
I'm in my school's Japanese Club and we've had a bake sale for the past 3 days, so I stayed after school until 5-5:30 monday and tuesday, then wednesday I left about 3:30, then today was japanese club so I didn't leave until 4:10 (keep in mind school gets out at 2:30) and we sold baked goods on tuesday,wednesday, and today, we're trying to get enough money to help pay for the entrance fees to the local anime convention for some of our club members. Next week we're gonna try to do a Rock Band/Guitar Hero thing? I don't play the game, and I don't really get it, so I'll let my friends handle it
On a more interesting side, I started reading +Anima, at first I thought it sounded corny (and lets face it, it does) but it's actually pretty good! I'm excited to read the second volume. I'm also attempting to read DN Angel - it's good, it's just not one that I'm desperate to read so I keep forgetting to put holds on it at the library :( then I spaz out and today I read vol. 5 and I don't think I finished vol. 4... whoops
I also finished Her Majesty's Dog recently, it was cute, but I don't really like the 'life goes on' type ending, and if anyone has a clue as to what Amane's "true name" is please tell me!
Apparently I finished A Wise Man Sleeps, because I think at 2 vol. its "done" although the ending seriously wasn't even a 'life goes on' ending, it was just like a 'vol. 3 out soon!' ending... what the heck?!?!
Happily, I was reading my friend's Ouran High School Host Club and you know how Bisco-sensei includes drawings from other mangaka in it? I found one by Hari Tokeino (sp), the mangaka of Me and My Brothers! Yay! It was really a surprise, so I was happy to show it to my friends (we were sitting around in the lunch room preparing to do the selling part of the bake sale, lunch hadn't started yet - we're doing standardized testing so if you've done the test already school doesn't start until almost 11:30, but today was the last day for a few weeks) so anyway, 3 of us were reading Ouran, and one person in our group had brought the first Harry Potter and was reading it outloud because another girl in our group refused to read them so she's being forced to listen to it :)
I now am the pround owner of Grave Of the Fireflies, such a sad movie, and right now I'm watching Hell's Kitchen so I think I'll go upstairs and read DN Angel 6 (and see if I still have 4) and also attempt to become motivated enough to do my biology hw...
also, I tried reading Body, and I really didn't like it, does it get better with vol. 2? I'll keep reading if it gets better...
