China

Overall, China was: hot, sweaty, crowded, nostalgic, educational, tiring, yummy, corrupt, surprising, polluted, satisfying.

My mom said I was very "dong-shi" for most of the time, which is good I guess. The only time I was rude was one day at lunch, when my mom's rich cousin took us to this $4000 meal complete with monkey brains and snake, and all my relatives and family friends started criticizing America and saying how awful this country is and how we're doing everything wrong. And i stood up (seriously) and said, "How come all you push your children to teach English, then, and try so hard to send them to America? How come you insist my mom and I bring them back English books and products, how come you always want me to speak English to them so they can perfect their accent? I'm tired of you Chinese people always criticizing America. I'm tired of you guys telling me of how you threw a PARTY after 9/11, and how you were happy America was being struck down by Iraq. You can't just try and grab the good for yourselves b/c you're selfish, and then belittle all the rest. You guys are just jealous of the United States, because Americans have more than you'll ever have, and you can't find any way out of your jealousy than to criticize." (in simpler Chinese words, of course)

Let's see. I also got a cute little panda! I named it Meng-Meng, after my cousin. He looks like a panda, all cute and round faced.
