Does it make you a nerd...

...if you buy new versions of games you already have?

About a year ago, I got Final Fantasy I&2 Dawn of Souls (both games on one cartridge). Thursday, I had seen a movie at the mall, and after, I decided to browse through the game store. I noticed they had FFII for PSP. Then, I went to the /other/ game store in the mall, and they had FFI. I didn't have any extra money at the moment, so I had to leave them be.

Yesterday, we were out doing errands. We went to 3 different stores, all which happened to sell games, and none of which had the PSP FF remakes I had seen.

What that means is, when I went to the mall today, I bought what was not only the final copy of each game left in the mall, but most likely the entire area. I was just relieved that they were still there!

One thing that's cool about these games is that you can choose the language - English, Japanese, or Japanese Kana. The entire game could be a language learning tool! Maybe one day, I'll know enough to play it in kana and actually understand what's going on.

Another change that was made was the ratings. I don't know what the original games were rated, but my Dawn of Souls game was E. FFI and FFII are rated E10+ and T respectively. It's pretty amazing that just having better graphics can cause that big of a difference.

*starts up FFI* Oh look, it actually has FMV's!

ffi, games, ff, ffii
