N Recent Things
(1) E is back from Puerto Rico, having done a lot and seen a lot. School isn't going to happen today, alas, but I can't say I'm surprised.
(2) G's soccer games over the weekend went well - her regular team won their game 1-0, and on Sunday one of the older (U16, so HS Freshmen/Sophomores) teams borrowed her. They lost that one, but not horribly; and G could definitely compete at that level.
(3) Drove up to NH for a meeting with the larger part of the group for a project. In the future, I'll probably mostly call in (if I'm ever at work late enough - it's a classified project, so I can't just call in from home), but I really like experiencing physical spaces.
(4) It's April 22; the weather the past few weeks has been gorgeous (though there's still snow on the north sides of embankments here and there). Grass has really greened, but there are, to my counting, three flowering trees in the whole city (dogwoods, I think, on the south side of G's school, along the wall) and only a few scatterings of stunted daffodils here and there. The only crocuses I've seen this year were in a yard out in central Massachusetts.
(5) No fic writing is happening; but soccer work is winding down; and E and I are flying out to look at schools in Ohio this weekend, so I may get some writing time then.
