N things, N seems to equal 7
(1) We have four girls, ages 9-12, asleep on our sofa right now. I expected there to be only three, since the spare kids are more G's friends than E's, and E's room has functional a/c, but apparently E decided fun outweighed the illusion of there being separation between her and the younger girls. Or she didn't want anyone sleeping in *her* spot.
(2) Three more weeks of school! it's been a great year.
(3) I need to get seriously cracking if I'm going to finish my sga_genficathon story.
(4) I swam a lap yesterday - ONE lap - and it was tiring. I think it's time to get intentional about exercise again. Mixing this and (3) is going to be hard.
(5) If we are going to go to Canada at all this summer, let alone before camp starts, I need to get cracking on passports/birth certificates. It may yet be too late - where did May go???
I want to do a drive up to Montreal with the kids so that they can realize that there's another country, like, right up there.
(6) This was the weekend I was going to cleancleanclean, and it almost didn't happen, but then the girls convinced us to let them spend the night, and that got the final bits done. So, except for the kitchen floor and the front porch, the house is in pretty good shape.
Our poor front porch! It's just too easy to put things there instead of, yk, away. Esp. when they don't really have a designated 'away'.
(7) The only planned activity for today is fishing with friends. We may head to the park to kick around a soccer ball beforehand.
