So I used Matlab in a story
and decided to see how often Matlab had been mentioned in English-language stories on FF.net. The answer: four. So then I checked for Fortran (afraid Pascal and Ada would should up as characters, and Java as a drink or an island); a few dozen, excluding stories featuring "Clay Cliff Fortran," an anime character.
But I stumbled upon something called the "FFT Writing Circle," and, oh, the glee! Because though I have been spending a lot of time in the frequency domain for over two decades, the past few years it's been hard to get out of it at times.
But FFT stands for Final Fantasy Tactics. I am bummed.
