Thank goodness for small favors
Or in this instance, large favors. I posted last that I wasn't going to be able to go on my family vacation this year because the dates changed after I had requested them off. Well, I talked to Dani at work today and she worked it out with Christian to change the dates she needed off (I love you guys!) so that I could ask off for the new week of vacation. Then I just had to make sure the dates weren't going to change on me again. So I called my dad, and while I was on the phone with him, he called Libby and talked to her husband. I heard his entire end of the conversation. It was a little strange. Libby wasn't home, but Ed passed on a message to her and she and Marg called me back a little while later from, of all places, the lake. Well, Libby said the dates for our week at the lake are not going to change again. So now Nita just has to give me the time off I need, and I'll be off for my family vacation for the first time in three years. I'm excited I actually get to go this year.
