“Watch out for Cupcake,” Brittany warned, indicating the dog sitting in the doorway to her room.
“Why, does she bite?”
Brittany stared at Quinn blankly, “No, she listens in on your conversations and then tells the neighbors.”
“Noted,” Quinn stifled a laugh and followed Brittany into her room.
“I cleared out some drawers for your stuff.”
“Thanks,” she paused, “Uh, Britt, why does this one drawer have blankets in it?”
“Oh, that’s so the baby has somewhere to sleep when she’s born.”
Quinn smiled and hugged Brittany, tears welling in her eyes. “Thank you for thinking of both of us.”
