Cossar and I came to a decision last night: 2007 sucks. I mean, it really does. It's not just February. Bad things have happened this year: Ben died last week. My magazine went out of business and we all lost our jobs. My aunt died yesterday. And buildings in the Bronx full of kids keep burning down. See, totally crap year. oh no. this is all horrible. this month is awful. i motion to have april start tomorrow. ali, prepare to be 26, stat.

also, get COBRA. it has to be cheaper than my health insurance-off-the-train-ads of yore. not to mention less embarrassing.

Your 2007 is my 2006. At this time one year ago, I was unemployed and three members of the same branch of my family had died. So: I can dig it, and it indeed sucks.

I'm so so sorry about your aunt. Let me know if there is anything I can do.

I'm very sorry about your aunt. If it gets to be too much family in Seattle, I can probably find you someone to go drink with.

I'm hoping my cousin Becky will just take us to the restaurant where she works and feed us like fat kids, but, of course, her mother just died. So it might be a lot of watching the rugrats and ordering in. I'll call you if I desperately need liquid salvation.
