How about a midnight coffee with the girls at Papa Joe's?

James Patterson created the Women's Murder Club book series. Sarah Fain and Elizabeth Craft lovingly adapted it for television. Aubrey Dollar, Angie Harmon, Paula Newsome and Laura Harris were 'the club' we will never forget.

What is this all about, you might ask?

TV shows get cancelled all the time, sometimes it's a surprise, sometimes a relief, never a good thing for the fan base. Some are soon forgotten. We're here to make sure it doesn't happen to WMC.
These days, we see more shows, cop dramas and other emerging in which women are not just part of the team, or the superior to a team of men, still the concept of Women's Murder Club remains unique.
Yet, there are still a lot of people, even fans of the James Patterson book series who didn't know there was a TV show or haven't seen yet. It seemed that in 2007, it wasn't yet the time for a strong, beautiful all-woman cast. They were pioneers. May 13th, 2008, when it was all over too soon, was a sad day, but cry wasn't all we did. There was the Hershey Kisses Campaign and the Women's Murder Club Virtual Seasons created by fans, before there was even a thought of WMC DAY.

The day WMC Day was born.

In 2009 and 2010 we've had discussion posts and several fans celebrating WMC Day by posting fic to passion_perfect.

Women's Murder Club Day 2010

2010 the idea was launched for fandom to support The Teddy Bear Project in the fight against breast cancer. I haven't yet completely given up on that idea! :) fansofwmc

You might still ask, why? Just a TV show, right? To some of us, it was never just that. Feel free to join in on the fun and explore a fandom, that, against the odds, is still here.

Stay tuned for WMC Day 2011 plans!

... re-runs of the Virtual Season... a vid contest... fan fiction... discussion...

Coming soon! In the meantime, get comfortable, have a cup of coffee, a Cosmo or Martini and feel free to leave a comment here. Welcome :)
