Question #1:
Does anyone mind sharing info about their height, weight, and clothing sizes? I ask because I am down to 260, and the last time I was this weight I was fitting into a size 18/20. I'm 5'2" but have a very broad frame (it's the Eastern European in me - my wrist BONE is at least 2.25" wide). I also strength train 2x a week and have built up a lot of muscle over the last several months. At my heighest, I was 422, and I have a LOT of skin, so I know that's probably affecting what sizes I fit into. But anyway, currently I'm a 26/28 on top and a 22/24 on bottom. I guess I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this clothing size discrepancy thing, and what you all do about skin. Which leads me to ...
Question #2:
A bunch of people suggested I try jogging for cardio. The reason I have issues with this is because my belly apron is so flappity that whenever I try to jog on the treadmill you can literally hear it slap against me. It's embarrassing, so I speed walk at 3 to 3.4 mph (and the 3.4 is hard, because my legs are super short - yet it's an improvement from the days when walking 2.2 mph would leave me gasping for air). But I would like to be more active and not worried about flappity aprons and the like. What kind of shapewear do you recommend? Anything specific for fitness?
Question #3:
I have two new Wii Fit programs I haven't tried out yet - the EA Active (with the stretch band and thigh holster) and Your Fitness Coach. I have used the Fitness Coach in the past on Xbox, but not the EA Active. For those of you who've used them, do you get a good cardio workout from either? Are there any DVDs you can recommend? I have no problem exercising 5-6 days a week, but I don't want to have to go to the gym every single day OR get bored by what I'm doing for cardio. (Bonus question: what are your favorite iPod tracks to work out to?)
Question #4:
J and I are planning a weekend getaway that would include snow tubing and snow mobiling. Will I need ski pants for these things, and if so, where's the cheapest place to get plus-sized ski clothes? Do you know of any sites that rent ski clothes for plus-sized women?
Thanking you all in advance!
P.S. I have some very lovely and barely worn clothes that I can donate to anyone interested. They range in sizes from 30/32 to 26/28. Some are career oriented. If interested, I can send pics. Would appreciate reimbursement for postage but if you don't have the $$$ for it I can consider it a charitable donation. :)
