I have been working for just an hour, and already I am watching the clock. This does not bode well for the kind of progress I like to make on my assignments.
But it's Friday! The temperature is nearly 20 degrees cooler than it was earlier this week. I have the apartment to myself all day. I can work from the balcony unless the forecasted thunderstorms drive me indoors. My yoga mat is spread out, ready for my regular stretch breaks. I have great music playing in iTunes. Life is good.
This evening T and I will drive to NJ to get the rest of my inheritance out of storage. Though I don't usually look forward to driving into NJ--traffic to the Holland Tunnel can be a nightmare, especially during rush hour, which is when we'll be on the road--the thought doesn't bother me this time. It will be nice to see my mom again and to have some road time with T.
The weather forecast calls for a chance of thunderstorms today and tomorrow. I hope we get them; the rain would help wash away the grit from the city and the air above. I like being indoors during heavy rain. If we get that tomorrow, it will be the perfect setting for continuing to sort and alphabetize my album collection. It's been too hot to sit indoors in the evenings doing that this week, so I am itching to get back to it. I miss the music.
My creative muse and I have been getting along well, hence the photos of my Cabbage Patch Doll. Thanks to
scream4noreason I have another idea, which I may be able to bring to fruition this weekend, if my favorite model cooperates. It's time I put my freshly-cleaned camera sensor to good use!
Did I mention life is good?
