Ryan:
Friday, 8:00pm

Ryan exited his car and walked towards the door leading into Colin's law firm. Colin had stayed after work to help set up for the party and he was just arriving. He was greeted at the door by Kathy.

"Can I help you, sir?" she chirped and smiled.

"Yes, I'm looking for Colin Mochrie. Where is his office?"

"I'm sorry sir, he's not available. We're having our Christmas party and..."

"Ryan! Over here!"

Ryan looked across the room and smiled when he saw Colin. He was standing next to Greg and Jeff, drinking punch.

As he walked over towards them, he took in the view. Colin was wearing a full suit with a dark red tie and he looked amazing.

"Ryan, I'd like you to meet some people. These are my good friends Jeff Davis and Greg Proops."

Jeff held out his hand and smiled widely. "Nice to finally meet you, we've heard so much about you!"

Ryan chuckled as he shook his hand. "It's all lies, I'll go ahead and tell you."

"Even the part about you having an enormous dick?" Greg asked.

"Shut up!" Colin elbowed Greg in the ribs, causing him to double over in pain. Ryan just looked at Colin with a raised eyebrow.

"Don't listen to him, he started drinking the punch a bit early. C'mon Greg, let's go get you some ginger ale, okay?" Jeff said and led Greg away.

"So..." Ryan started, but Colin quickly cut him off.

"I said no such thing to Greg, I want you to know that. I have no idea about the size of your... Um... manhood" He said and blushed.

Ryan smiled flirtatiously and leaned to whisper in Colin's ear, "Would you like to find out?"

Colin gasped and blushed again before excusing himself to go get Ryan some punch.

He's so adorable when he's embarrassed.

Ryan mingled with the crowd for a few minutes and when Colin returned he introduced Ryan to all the other lawyers.

Colin:
Friday, 10:00pm

Colin stood next to Ryan most of the night, only leaving to go to the break room and fill their drinks back up. When he left to grab a couple sandwiches for himself and Ryan, he was cornered by a very inebriated Kathy.

"Hey, hot stuff." Kathy said in her best seductive voice and strutted over to Colin.

She pressed Colin against the counter and started to grind against him. He tried his best to push her off gently but she just wasn't having it.

"Kathy, don't, you're drunk." Colin said and pushed against her shoulders.

"Aw, come on," she said and pulled him closer by his tie, "you can't tell me you don't feel this attraction." she whispered in his ear.

Oh, God... How am I going to get her to...

The rest of Colin's thought was cut off as Kathy planted a demanding kiss on his lips.

"Hey, Col! What's taking you so..." Ryan stopped mid sentence and Colin forcefully pushed Kathy away, knocking her to the floor.

Shit!

Ryan:
Friday, 10:05pm

Ryan waited for Colin to return and when he didn't he went looking for him. The sight he was greeted with was not one he was expecting.

He watched as Colin pushed Kathy away and his eyes filled with tears. He couldn't believe it. He completely misjudged Colin's feelings for him.

Suddenly, Ryan couldn't breathe and he ran out the door. He needed to get as far away from Colin as he could.

Colin:
Friday, 10:05pm

"Ryan!" Colin called and sprinted out the door after him.

"Ryan! Dammit, slow down!" Colin yelled after him.

Ryan stopped and turned towards Colin, "I need to get out of here, Col. I... I have to go home." he said, his words barely coming out in a whisper.

Colin felt his heart breaking as he watched the man he loved look at him with devastation in his eyes.

"Ry, what's wrong?"

"I... I'm sorry, Col... I didn't realize that you and Kathy were... God, I'm so stupid! To think that I was going to tell you that..." Ryan stopped and turned away again.

Colin grabbed his shoulders and forced Ryan around to face him, "Tell me what, Ry?"

He felt his heart rate speed up in anticipation as he waited for Ryan to answer.

"I'm in love with you..." Ryan said and hung his head.

Colin moved closer and placed his hand on Ryan's cheek, wiping away the tears.

Ryan:
Friday, 10:10pm

Ryan lifted his head, looking into Colin's eyes and saw that they were filled with an emotion that he never thought he would see there. Love. The intensity of it making his breath catch.

"Col?" he asked, voice shaking.

Colin swiftly closed the gap and pressed his lips to Ryan's.

This kiss was different from any other they had shared. The love behind it nearly made Ryan's heart stop. He wrapped his arms around Colin's waist and pulled him closer.

With some unspoken agreement, they both opened their mouths at the same time, deepening the kiss. Ryan moaned as their tongues brushed together and Colin tightened his grip on Ryan's curls.

Ryan suddenly felt like a live wire. Never before had he felt so much emotion from a kiss. He felt as if he loosened his grip on Colin that he would fall and lose him forever.

They stood there kissing each other until they were both breathless and when they pulled away Ryan rested his forehead against Colin's and closed his eyes.

"Look at me." Colin said, rubbing his hand across Ryan's cheek.

Ryan pulled back to stare into Colin's eyes and held his breath.

"I love you too, Ry." Colin said and smiled warmly at Ryan.

"What about Kathy?" he asked and leaned into Colin's caress.

"What you saw was nothing. She has been coming onto me for years, but I never returned her feelings. The truth is, I will never love anyone as much as I love you."

"Oh, Col..." Ryan whispered as tears fell down his face once again.

"Come on," Colin said as he pulled away and smiled, "Let's go back inside, it's getting a bit chilly out here."

Ryan smiled and grabbed Colin's hand. They walked through the office door again and as they passed Kathy, Ryan saw anger in her eyes. He shivered and followed Colin to join back in the festivities.

He tried to shake off Kathy's glare as her eyes followed them the rest of the evening, but there was something in that look that told him Kathy wasn't going to give up so easily.
