Author's Note: This chapter is a bit shorter than the rest and I hope it turned out okay because, due to me being sick, I really didn't feel like adding onto it... But I didn't want to disappoint anyone, so here it is! Comments are happiness and sunshine!!
Ryan:
Monday, 8:15pm
Ryan was sitting on the couch, looking at the phone and shaking his leg. He and Drew just got through eating and he was debating whether or not to call Colin.
"Should I call him?" he asked and turned to Drew.
"Hell if I know man, but you're acting like some teenager with a crush. You sure he's just a friend?" he replied and raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, Drew. We're just friends." Ryan sighed, "Screw it, I'm calling him."
Ryan picked up the phone and was about to dial when it rang, causing him to flinch. Drew laughed and shook his head.
Ryan looked at the Caller ID, "It's Colin!"
"Well, what are you waiting for? Pick it up for God's sake!" Drew said and shoved Ryan on the leg.
"Hello?"
"Hey, um... Is Ryan there?"
"Speaking."
"Oh, hi! It's Colin, you know, from last night?"
Ryan smiled and chuckled, "Of course, how could I forget? How are you?"
"Good, good. You?"
"Doing great, thanks"
Ryan waved his hand at Drew in a gesture that told him that was his cue to leave. He nodded his head and headed out the door.
"I'm glad you called, I was just about to call you myself."
"Oh? Great minds think alike I suppose" Colin said and laughed.
"Well, I know I have a great mind, not sure about you though."
"Oh I can hold my own, and I usually do."
Ryan smiled and sunk back into the couch.
"So, I was wondering..." Colin started, "Are you free this Saturday? I was thinking we could do something, maybe go see a movie or something?"
Ryan smiled widely, "Yeah, of course! I'd love to!"
"Great! I'll call you on Friday and set up the details."
"Sounds great." Ryan said.
"Alright, well you have a great evening and I'll talk to you soon okay?"
"Okay, you too."
"Bye, Ry."
"Bye, Col."
Ryan hung up the phone and sighed happily. He realized the entire time he was talking to Colin he didn't once stop smiling.
Damn, Drew was right, I am like a teenager with a crush. What's going on? Ah well, I'm probably just excited to have him as a friend. Friends make each other happy, too.
