I am deeply frustated by christmas shopping this year (yes I do it on line)
This year I am shopping for 14 kids Now things like the grand children, and the goddish kids, arnt a problem, Amazon is my friend.
But the others are And not because of them but the circumstances. See they are the kids of three sisters that will be at the family homestead in LI.
Now shopping for toys is a big deal. I dont want gendered toys (dinos, building, or vheicals not gendered) I dont like tie in toys, so princess, super heros, etc not my thing. I dont want stuff that is deeply messy i wont do that to friends) I have been warned not to get weapons (I was thinking a bunch of swords and shields and was told NO NO) I want kids to have toys things to do puzzles, arts and crafts, are great. And books well not my first choice having had a reading disabilaty, and I dont know if they allready have them.
I was shopping amazon and after about 2 hours (because I am so dam picky) I have a cart full of toys and even a game for most of them and a joke book. I go to check out and see half the toys they wont gift wrap or give a gift note. So grandma wont know who will get what so not good.
I go to a different company Fat Brain, I call them to check they can wrap and lable things, and told YES. So after an hour (cuz by now I know what I am doing.) and lo and behold they cant lable things i call to make sure im not just really stupid and missing something. Nope the seasonal help was wrong and that puts them out of contention.
I really would like to know why the idea that toys are wrapped and labled is such a big deal
As it stands I may have to drive to LI and drop things off that I wrap myself because I am asking for something that is so difficult
