Ok, so I haven't updated in a while....and here is the time and place to do so...
It finally feels like life is beginning to fall into place, and the schedule in which I have laid out last semester for the next 2-2.5 years is looking to be very probable. I feel like I am beginning to reach my undergraduate peak with many different opportunities showing up in front of me. An example is that I have recently been accepted as one of the Fall Welcome Week Co-Coordinators for the Fall 2006 program. For those of you who aren't aware of this, it is a week where incoming freshman can partake in 4-5 days of activities, ranging from downtown scavenger hunts, evening activities, daily lectures, and lots of free food! I, along with 3 other fabulous honorees are responsible for coordinating the entire day portion of this event. So basically, I am quite excited to have this handed to me.
Another event that has recently come my way is the self actualization that I will be able to graduate from WMU in 4 1/2 years with a double major, honors in the Political Science Department, a thesis, study abroad, 2-3 internships (one in Washington DC), a slew of volunteer experience, completion of my LSAT exams, and completed applications to law school. Up until my meeting with my academic advisor the other day I was quite afraid that I wouldn't stand out, as a law school applicant, from the rest of those applying to law school. I can now rest assured that once I saw all of this on paper, I feel I truly do stand out, and will hopefully be a good candidate for a superb school such as Northwestern or Georgetown. I really don't want to make it seem like I am gloating all that much, but if you knew my inner thoughts of the past 2-3 months, this quite therapeutic.
In other news, classes are going well, all of which seem to be rather easy, with some accelerated amounts of reading and writing, for I am alright with this. Things around 333 Zimmerman Hall seem to be going well, and plans for the fall are in motion.
I hope everyone is having a great semester, and I would like to hear from some of you whom I haven't seen in 2 years. But anyways, I must be off to get some research done.
Have a GRRREAATT Weekend!
