So I know I haven't updated in a while, and this is mainly in part to the fact that I haven't had much time. Things are getting done though, which was my number one concern for the load I have taken this semester. The first Pre-Law Society meeting of the year was a great success bringing in about 35% of our e-mail base. The next huge step for the society is to turn it into a Co-ed professional Pre-Law Fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. This is going to be very exciting for the fact that Western is basically the only school without a chapter, and I would be the founder of it, so awesome! Also the society is teaming up with the Kalamazoo ACLU to reverse the city's noise violation issue, which basically doesn't exist, that allows for government officials (cops) to issue tickets to just about anyone they feel are being too "loud". The law will define what is too noisy, and will also set a limit to the amount the ticket should be paid. So those are just two of the large things going on thus far in my life. School is being a bit of a challenge this year, with lots of reading, papers and exams, but I do feel I am handling it rather well thus far. So far I am extremely happy with where I am as a person, beginning to acknowledge my accomplishments, and continuing to build upon the strong foundation I have begun.
Evan is doing well, though I believe his classes are kicking his tushie, especially with the high demand of practice, though it is all showing. His University Symphony Orchestra concert was phenominal this past Sunday, the headlining piece being Shostakovitch's Fifth Symphony. It truly was a treat to hear that seeing as it is one of my favorites. The suitemates, Zach and Steve, are doing great too, lots of laughs had by all. One of the things that I am still challenged with is finding more time hanging out with the gang as well as some of my other friends on campus. I guess that will just have to be one of the things I work on in the coming months.
Well, I hope all are well, and I hope to see many of you at States in November.
