How did he not see this happening? Every night he was with Ryan, he was thinking about…Why had he been so stupid? Greg was amazing. Greg was wonderful. Greg was hot, steamy, passionate, loving, caring, sarcastic, snippy, moody, testy…everything he loved wrapped in one person. But Ryan had decided, somewhere along the line, “Oh, even though I know Colin is with Greg, I’m going to mess with his head and kiss him on national TV. That sounds like a swell plan.”
And it had screwed him up.
He left Greg. Didn’t even care about his feelings. Dumped him cold. Ryan seemed to be the perfect match. Everyone was always going on about how Ryan and Colin made a perfect pair. Colin and Ryan. Ryan and Colin. Nobody could say it as two words. RyandColin. All one word. Screw everybody, dammit, all he wanted was Greg.
And now he was lost forever.
Even though he was with someone new, all he could think about was what he had done with Greg. He was what made Colin complete. They fit together beautifully, like the puzzle that’s missing a piece, and the five-year-old you runs around your house desperately trying to find it, and when you do, you’re filled with such jubilation, such wonder and awe, that you can’t wait to go back and put that piece in the puzzle. Because it fits.
And now Colin was running around his house, trying to find that damn puzzle piece.
