Seems like I was gonna say something, but I forgot. ugh. lol

I haven't gotten much of anything done this past week, 'cause the hubby was home Tuesday night 'til last night. I love him to death, but I never get anything done when he's home. lol Hopefully, this next week will be productive.

Friday, I went to Books-a-Million to see if they had Loveless in. They didn't. So I picked up the first vol. of Love Mode instead. I had read it on one of the scanlation groups here at LJ, but I thoroughly enjoy having the hard copy in my hands. I wonder when the second one will come out? I also picked up "Forge of Heaven" by C. J. Cherryh. One of my all time favorite sci-fi authors. I'm wondering if this isn't the second in a series, though. I couldn't find anything that said so on the cover, but inside I keep finding hints that it may be. Pet peeve. If it's in a series, please make sure it's clearly stated on the cover. XD Anyway... I'm looking forward to reading it. I'm not as heavy into sci-fi as I am fantasy, but I have read enough very good ones that I'm not opposed to reading more. :)

Ummmm, lessee... what else? Oh, yeah... picked up the latest Harry Potter DVD and watched it last night. I'd watched it at the theatre, but still loved it. :) Can't wait for the next one to come out already. I figure it'll be PG-13 as well because of the torture thing... they better show that!! Not that I'm into torture, but I want to see how they'll accomplish it on film. lol

I got a new cell phone on Friday, too. Our contract was up for renewal and we were in a situation where I could get an actual phone instead of the cheap freebie phones I've had for the last four years. Yay!! So I bought the phone I've been drooling over for a year now... a motorola razor v3!! Hubby said I was such a nerd. Ya, so? My daughter got a new phone as well, but I bought her the motorola V555. It's not as cool as mine, but she said she didn't like that style anyway. Going from the free blue peanut phones to these.. we're both O.o lol I'm really, really digging it. I'm like... someone CALL ME! LOL (still trying to figure out how to send a damned text message, though. It always comes up not able to send. arg. And I paid an extra $5 a month for unlimited text messaging)

My sister in law called yesterday with some really sad news... (they live in one of those really small, tight-knit towns, so this will make more sense) It seems like a family of four - Dad, Mom, 11 yr old, and a 6 mo old all died when their house burned in the middle of the night. They were all asleep and never woke up. The whole community down there is really shook up. It makes me almost physically sick when I think about it. That could've been me and my family. Oct. 2002 our house caught fire around 4am. We were all asleep, but my oldest son woke up and alerted us... the boy's room was so full of smoke you couldn't see their beds. Why did we get out but that family didn't? And let me tell you... watching your house, your whole life burn while standing out in the driveway way before dawn in the freezing cold with nothing but your pajamas... it never leaves you. Ever. Even though the years have gone by, it still hurts. I should be thankful we're alive, but that family... it really rips your heart out.

Not to end on a really sad, depressing note... I wish Spring would get here and stay put. Today it's 65*F... later this week it's supposed to be back down in the mid-30s. ugh. Mother Nature needs to make up her mind. lol
