Oaktree Foundation - National Vision Night 2006

Mar 21, 2006 21:35

Dear Perth readers

I invite you to attend Oaktree's National Vision Night for 2006.  The Oaktree Foundation is Australia's first entirely youth-run international aid and development  organisation.  Our National Vision Night will bring together our volunteers, mentors, and supporters to celebrate Oaktree's  successes, and present our plans for how we will continue to fulfil our goal:

"To empower developing communities, through education, in a way that is sustainable"

Please join us for a diverse and inspiring night of video presentations about Oaktree projects in developing communities, information on our upcoming national campaigns, as well as news of our fresh initiatives for the coming year.  We will also be joined by special guest speaker Ben Whitehouse, who has just returned from representing young Australians at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.  Food and refreshments will be served, and there will be opportunities to socialise after the presentations.

The night aims to inspire, empower and encourage. Whether you are new to Oaktree or already involved, this is an exciting opportunity learn more about what the Oaktree Foundation is and what you can do to help combat poverty and injustice around the world.

I look forward to seeing you at the Oaktree National Vision Night 2006.
Yours sincerely

Paul Mason
Acting State Director (WA)
The Oaktree Foundation

PS: I will also be giving a brief (8 mins - 10 mins) presentation, on my time in South Africa in January 2005.  Hope to see some of you there.
