Drama and Introspective

Psh. I was browsing through my journal looking to see if I had recommended any of the stories I'm planning on rec'ing today, and I noticed that I've really come a long way in actually understanding how LJ works and learning niffty things like hyperlinks and LJcuts and other random stuff so I can have my little stories about my life, real life, and random interesting things I find everywhere and yet make my journal readable for the people who only want the recs.

And that was a long sentence. *stares wide eyed*

I'm still a dork, though, and forget to shove stuff under the LJcut, but I'm getting better! ^_^

Anyhoo, I have finished my obi. *throws confetti in the air* Man, that thing was harder than the kimono. @_@ I'm impressed with myself, though. I still need to order the obi pad and wait patiently for my bustle sash and obijime to come in the mail. *does a happy dance* Then I'm all ready to go to the Sakura Festival this year!!!!! *looks at invisible watch and calculates days* 55 days until the Festival!!!!!!!

I expiramented with food again today and made a sortof shrimp stirfry. It looked like stirfry, was intended to be stirfry, but I was too lazy to get the wok out so I just boiled everything and served it over rice with soy sauce. It was still good. ^_^ But, I still want to do the actual stirfry one day. Well, I've got plenty of shrimp!!!

I've discovered that its rather difficult to be a vegitarian, even one who still eats seafood and fish (as I've never considered seafood and fish to be meat. Fish and seafood are just so different from meat and poultry that I can't lump them together under the same heading of meat.)

Lets see, fast food I can eat at...Taco Bell (bean burritos), Subway, Quizznos and other sandwich joints (tuna and/or seafood sandwiches). The next step up from fast food...Einstein's (hell, I can always just go for a blueberry bagel and strawberry jelly!), Noodles & Co (a crap load of stuff, but I like the Thai Ceaser), Chipotle (beans and beans, baby), Wahoo's (fish tacos), Tokyo Joe's (um...yeah. Just about anything. The sushi, the veggie bowls, if I remember, they have fish bowls), Kokoro (anything but mainly the sushi and the salmon bowl and the unagi bowl *drools and checks wallet to see if I can eat there tonight*) Resturants...anything Asian has plenty of stuff for me to choose from, Chili's (shrimp ceaser, shrimp fajitas), Ruby Tuesday (shrimp alfredo, salmon entrees), anything Mexican (again, beans, beans, and more beans, fish tacos), anything Indian or Moraccian. Fancy resturants...I wouldn't know, as I don't have the money for them, and the last time I was at some of them, I was still eating meat.

*sighs* And grocery shopping is sometimes a chore, BUT!!!!!! Luckily, I have this huge Asian shopping market close by. I love H-Mart. *goes googoo eyed and fangirlish over H-Mart* <---dear God, I'm going sappy over a SuperMarket. A SuperMarket!!!!!!! Their fish counter is just so incredible that I can't believe it. They have fresh shark, dude. I'm not kidding. Shark steaks. Wow. Not that I've bought any sharks, for I wouldn't know the first thing in how to cook it, but I just think that is too cool!

The Wallyworld actually has a better fish section than the closest King Stupids (and Safeway's so damned expensive that I never set foot in there...) Although, if I go to the King Stupids over by the fabric store, they have a wonderful counter (nothing like H-Mart, but then H-Mart is the supermarket of the Gods!) Even the second closest King Stupids doesn't have a fish counter. (Why me?!?!?!?!?!)

Okay, I'm done ranting about fish. Wow.

I still need to clean my house, but my friend Liz wants me to come over and watch her clean her house. Normally I'd say "sorry, but..." but I'm hesitant today because I haven't seen her in so long eventhough we live quite close to each other now. *shakes head* Well, we'll see what happens.

On to the recommendations!!!

15minute ficlet Word #48 by Paxnirvana
Wow. This is a short, but very powerful piece. Not much to say other than I was very impressed and it has stuck on my brain for over six months. Check it out. Very powerful. Very.

Summary. Aya-chan thinks about her new life.
Pairing: none
Rating: PG

Der Anfang und das Ende by Talya Firedancer
This is an incredible story with a take on Yohji's past both rich and horrifying. Well written as Talya Firedancer always creates, this story is rich with character emotion. One, who has to come to terms with himself; One, who has to come to terms with want he wants; and One, who will do whatever it takes to get what he wants...
Very powerful, very good, rich with layers and motives and emotions and denial.
Never look back.

Summary:
Pairings: Schuldig + Yohji, Aya x Yohji, Ken x Omi
Rating: NC-17.
Notes: rape, child molestation.

To Destroy the One You Love by Vamire Louis
Again, another story high in emothion and agnst and the desire to bitch slap certain characters for various reasons. ^_^ Again, there's not much more to say about this than I've already said about other stories. By now, you should know what I like and what I look for, and this has it all. With a guest chapter by PinkWhirlWind, this story embodies everything from love to desire to insanity to hate to misunderstanding to frustration to stupidity to denial and back again.

Summary: Aya has sold that which is most important to him, and he doesn't even realize the value until it's gone. What's done is done however, and Schuldig never gives back what belongs to him.
Pairings: Schuldig + Yohji, Aya + Yohji
Rating: R
Notes: unfinished.

Enjoy the recs! ^_^
