Read this because: Vitani's fanfiction is probably the best I've read. The characterizations are perfect, as is the team dynamics - no character is ignored or character bashed, the interactions within the group are just as in canon.
This story is quite a treat to all Ken fans. It's an amazing character study - very interesting as based on Holy Children and terribly IC. And, how often do you see an IC Nagi? The interaction between the two boys alone makes the story worth reading, but if you're a fan of any other Weiss, you will probably enjoy the story, too - everyone makes an appearance. I personally really enjoyed the bits concentrating on Ken's and Aya's rivalry. There's action, friendship, angst... If you don't mind the lack of yaoi, you will probably love this story as much as I do. To me, the story feels like canon.
I feel the story could not be as enjoyable if you aren't familiar with Holy Children, also because of Aya's characterization. He is portrayed as a very strict leader, just as he is in Holy Children. I have an impression a part of fans don't notice that side of Aya - Aya who always takes the missions without a second thought, Aya who would punish a teammate physically if they went against Weiss - as much as they notice Aya who is Takatoris and Aya-chan obsessed. I'm a big fan of Vitani's Aya.
