It was becoming an addiction; his secret vice and his secret salvation. Ever since he discovered he could go back. He told himself over and over again, next time he’ll choose a happier moment. But, this was it. The body collapsing, like in dreams, like in reality. He drank in the shocked expression, the fear twisting the ugly features into something even uglier. By now he had counted every drop of blood and it still wasn't enough.
It had to be good enough to last him until the next time. Next time, when, just for him, Takatori would die again.
