new cocktail post: n-bottle bars

Kempy xsavvyx suggested a great idea for a cocktail blog post, which i've just gotten around to posting at barspoon: n-bottle bars.  (Is it useful or desirable to post here when i post there?  I'm never sure, but i thought i'd mention it this time because it's a special sort of post -- not just the usual rambling about some drink with a mediocre photo.. Yeah, I like the notice here because I don't often check other blogging sites.

The n-bottle bar post was actually really interesting to me, since I would likely fall into that category of people you describe. I wouldn't really stock myself up on alcohol supplies the way you and Philip did, but it's quite helpful to know a reasonable three things to buy on the side. (I also like that your list started with gin, which is obviously my favorite too!)

You do like a good gin cocktail :) I wonder if for you personally, sweet vermouth and Campari would be the right 2 and 3.. I get the sense that you're more into the refreshing citrusy ones rather than the complex herbal ones..

That's partially why I thought the post was intriguing, because I don't really know anything about either of those next two :-) I think your categorization of me is correct, though: I fall very easily for fizzy and lemony. But I'm also one of those people who finds two or three things he likes (at a new restaurant, etc.) and sticks with them forever, so it might be that I haven't tried enough in other categories to say for sure.

I should make you an Americano Maison next time you're over! They're quite popular in France.

Sounds kind of like coffee, but I'll give it a try!
