"Some Democrats suggested the prospect of no health care bill passing was more likely than rushing to pass the Senate's bill."
Patrick Kennedy says:
"I think we could pass the Senate bill and come back later and fix the parts that are most egregious."
"Health care needs to go forward. If it's a message on anything, it's that we got the message messed up, not that we got the package messed up."
Sorry Patrick, but your dad's efforts will fall for two extremely sad but irrefutable reasons:
1- Your dad died 6 months too soon.
2- Martha Coakly ran an extremely lackluster campaign in the final two weeks.
As I have said before, if the Democrats can't muster up enough balls for a fight to get any kind of reform, from the two bills that have passed both the House and the Senate, then I am going to pull from the Democratic party (In protest) and register independant.
Everywhere I turn- even on the liberal media Air America- they are calling Obama a "lame duck" and one liberal talking head said Obama's presidency is "A failure..." I don't see it that way at all. The failures are the Democrats in Congress and the ones in the Senate who refuse to come together to bring much needed reform to the health care system. They put on their faces of wanting reform while their wallets are being filled by the health care CEO's. The FACT is: Over half of the American people (51%) approve of the job the president is doing- but you'd never know that from watching main stream media....including Air America.
My heart breaks for a man who is now laying in his grave: TEDDY WANTED AND DESERVED BETTER THAN THIS.....
