I have entirely too many things on my to-do list, work-related and otherwise:
- Read three technical books, a big thick one on Windows system internals, a mid-sized one on Powershell, and a skinnier one on IPv6. I also have a CCNA study book and a book on DNS and BIND to go through, and I want to get some material on ISA Server and SQL since I could stand to learn a bit about those. One can only learn so fast though.
- Answer emails sent to the condo board of directors. Ugh. I'm going to see if I can get someone else to do this, I'm sick of being the only board member who checks that email account.
- Check chemical levels in the hot tub. I keep forgetting to do this, I'm on the schedule for Mondays so need to get off my butt and actually do it. It's not so bad though, the test is quick and if I add water or chemicals I get to relax for a minute in the nice warm hot tub room.
- Take care of a bunch of stuff prior to our board meeting on Wednesday: get pricing for security patrols, find when we can get someone from Comcast out to hook up cable TV in the cabana (and when I can take time off work to meet them), gotta find some "Smile, You're on Camera" type signs to put up around the cabana since we now have security cameras there, gotta see if I can download video from said camera system so we can find out who messed up the hot tub room a while back, gotta make some edits to the rules and regs for the complex, gotta go update some residents' phone numbers in the call box at the entrance gate... Just thinking about it all makes me want to give up. :(
- At work I have a big event coming up in July that I'm supporting, so I need to a) make a list of things that must be accomplished prior to that event and b) accomplish them. With help for the accomplishment part, there are 40+ demos at this thing and I'd rather not image 40+ PCs all by myself, not to mention contacting all the presenters and getting their requirements and doing the setup at the show. So one item on my pre-event prep list will be "enlist help".
- Keep up with eHarmony - I get 5 or so new matches a day to evaluate, and there are a ton of matches that I *might* want to contact built up, so I'm going through them and sorting and getting rid of any that are at all questionable or less than interesting and pinging at least one new one per day so that if they don't get back to me I can close the match. I feel kind of bad judging guys by a two-second glance at their profile, but you know what, I Just. Don't. Have. Time. With all these potential dates to manage, not to mention everything else going on, I wonder when I'll have time for any actual dates. :)
- Post on LJ at least occasionally. Hey, at least I'm getting that one done today.
